About the Mission: The family of Robert A. Schramm has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services.

Robert's full obituary is not yet available, however, military records indicate that on July 20, 1946 at the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was trained in aviation fundamentals and attended Aviation Metalsmith School. Upon completion of his training, Robert was assigned to Meteorological Squadron One on Guam, M.I., and later to the US Heavy Patrol Squadron Two, also on Guam. Robert was honorably discharged on June 18, 1948 at the Rate/Rating of Aircraft Structural Mechanic Airman (AMAN). For his service, he was awarded the WWII Victory Medal.

Special Information: Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. A brief service is scheduled for 09:15, followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave, Albany. Interment with military honors at Saratoga National Cemetery to follow church services.
