About the Mission: The family of Reginald R. Perrotte has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Perrotte, 84 of Scotia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his residence.

Not much detail is available about Mr. Perrotte's life and service at this time however, a complete obituary will appear in Sunday’s edition of the Daily Gazette.

Mr. Perrotte joined the United States Navy on July 20, 1953, just before the end of the Korean War. He was trained as a Hospital Corpsman and served 3 years and 5 days in that capacity. He was honorably discharged on July 24, 1956 at the rank of HM2 (Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 2nd Class, E-5). For his service, Mr. Perrotte was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the US Navy Good Conduct Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Visitation will take place between 09:00 and 10:30, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. After the dignified transfer, riders will escort to Park Cemetery, Sacandaga Rd, Scotia, NY 12302, approximately one mile from the funeral home.

Members must adhere to the mandatory COVID-19 requirements as outlined above. There can be no exceptions.
