About the Mission: | The family of Frank N. Hendrick, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Frank, 88, passed on December 20, 2020. Frank proudly served 33 years as a member of the New York State Army National Guard, assigned to the 210th Armor and 27th Infantry Divisions, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. He also served 13 years as a Telecommunication Specialist for the Albany Police and Fire Communications Division until his retirement in 1997. Frank was a master craftsman who learned building, electrical and plumbing at the hand of his father. In his younger days, Frank was scouted by the Brooklyn Dodgers when he was pitching for the Albany Senators. He was a member of the Albany Permanent Professional Firefighters Association, Albany Police Retirees, Council 82, AFSCME, WF Bruen Hose Company, Clinton Heights Fire Dept., American Legion, GRUMP Club, and a life member of the Polish American Citizens Club.
