|About the Mission:||The family of Leslie Warren Dunham has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his funeral services. Les, 71, passed on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
Born in Troy, Les attended several Brunswick area one room schools as a boy and was a graduate of Tamarac High School, Class of 1966. In 1968, Les enlisted in the United States Navy. After basic training, he was sent to Vietnam where he served with Mobile Construction Battalion Seven, Seabees, out of Camp Barnes, Dong Ha Combat Base. For his service, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/Bronze Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Fleet Marine Combat Operations Insignia, Sharpshooter Rifle Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon. He was honorably discharged on October 7, 1969 at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4), Equipment Operator (EO3).
After leaving the service, Les established his home in Raymertown and worked as a truck driver for over thirty years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking in the woods, gardening, and watching the wildlife in his backyard. Les was a member of Gilead Lutheran Church in Brunswick, the Sullivan - Jones VFW Post #7466 in Poestenkill, the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Chapter 19-1, a member and supporter of the NRA, and a former member the Raymertown Volunteer Fire Company.

|Special Information:||Staging at the funeral home with a flag line during Visitation, 10:00 - 11:30 AM. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 AM, followed by dignified transfer and escort to Eagle Mills Cemetery, Route 2, Brunswick, NY, for interment services.|
