ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Mr. Joseph S. Waterbury Sr., United States Navy, Korean War Era Veteran, has requested Patriot Guard Rider presence at his military honors funeral services.
Mr. Joseph S. Waterbury Sr., age 81, died Friday, December 16, 2016 at his home in North Greenbush. He lived in Rensselaer during his working years and then moved to Poestenkill for 15 years of his retirement to be near his sons in the country.
Joseph served in the US Navy during the Korean War, from 1953-57. During that time, he served aboard the USS Rockbridge (APA-228), an attack transport ship, as an Electricians Mate 3rd Class. He was honorably discharged in 1957 and went to work for Sterling Winthrop where he worked as an electrician for 42 years until his retirement in 1999 at age 64.
The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to be able to stand for, and show dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. Joseph S. Waterbury Sr.
