About the Mission:

We have been requested by the family of Joseph R. Lewis to participate in his military honors funeral. Joseph passed away on April 17th, 2021.

Portions of the following was taken from his obituary found at Townley and Wheeler's funeral home; Joseph R. Lewis, age 73, passed away on April 17, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 17, 1947, in Bridgeport, CT, and spent his teenage years growing up in Harrington Park, New Jersey. Following graduation from Northern Valley Regional High School, in 1965, he was drafted into the United States Army in 1968 where he served overseas in Vietnam.

After his honorable discharge in 1969, Joe started a rewarding career at General Electric Co. in Schenectady, NY before transferring to GE Waterford, NY. He was dedicated and hard-working for over 35 years before taking his well-deserved retirement in 2003.

  • ** ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade face-mask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information:

We will arrive during visitation. Please Join the flag line as you arrive. Mr. Lewis' Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, after the service and a dignified transfer, we will escort the funeral procession to Jonesville Cemetery.  The Cemetery is located on the West End of Ushers Rd., in Ballston Lake 12019.
