Sadly, we have lost yet another member of the “Greatest Generation”.  Mr. John H. Reardon passed on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the age of 96.

Funeral service with full military honors scheduled for 10:00 AM, Interment Shelter 2.  Members staging directly at the cemetery, please stage quietly at Shelter 1 and be aware of any services in progress.

Narrative:
Mr. Reardon served in the United States Navy during WWII, earning a Silver Star and Purple Heart for battles he fought in the South Pacific.  He was honorably discharged at the rate of Fire Controllman 3rd Class FC3.  After the war, he performed duties as a volunteer firefighter, former vice-president and life member of Rensselaer Engine #4 for nearly 70 years.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to be asked to stand and demonstrate honor, dignity and respect for the life and service of Mr. John H. Reardon.
