About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders will stand in silent honor for the life and service of Arthur William Crawmer. Arthur served as a member of Company D, 21st Infantry Division while in Korea, where he was wounded in battle and missing in action for ten days. In recognition of his military service and wounds received, Arthur was awarded a Purple Heart, the Army of Occupation Medal for Japan, Distinguished B-Unit Citation, the United Nations Medal for the Korean Campaign and a Combat Infantry Badge.

IMPORTANT

  • ** ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade face-mask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Staging at the funeral home with flag line for dignified transfer. Estimated departure for Saratoga National Cemetery is 12:00 pm.  Family members will stage directly at the cemetery.

Second Stage - Special Information: Interment with military honors scheduled for 1:00 pm. Those members arriving early are requested to form a flag line at the cemetery entrance for the arrival of the funeral cortege.
