- 1st Update -

Change in Welcome Home Mission for Senior Airman Andrew Jankey:

Staging will now be at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28 at the Military Courtesy Room Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

Current Situation:

Andrew's father, Howard, told us his son arrived at Baltimore around 9 p.m. Thursday.

He is scheduled to arrive in Syracuse at 9:40 a.m. Friday by US Air.

However, his flight is scheduled to stop at Laguardia on the way from Baltimore.

Thursday evening, due to the East Coast snow storm, flights in and out of Laguardia experienced delays up to two hours.

But the good news is that US Air flights to and from Upstate New York had much shorter delays.

What's this mean for us?  Andrew's flight could come in on time. It could also be late an hour or two, or even more.

Be prepared to wait.  As much of a pain waiting may be just think of the exhaustion Andrew is probably feeling after starting on this journey home two or three days ago in Afghanistan.

If we learn anymore we will send out another update in the morning.  If you do not get an update that means we are proceeding as indicated in this email.  Thanks for all that you do.
