PGR Members,

We have been asked by the organizer's of "Snowball Express V" to help in
sending off and welcoming back the families of some of our Fallen Hero's as
they go to Dallas for some R&R. An American Airlines chartered flight will
be leaving early Thursday Dec 9th and returning Monday the 13th in the late
afternoon at Syracuse Hancock Airport. This flight is just one of seven
American Airline's chartered flights that will be zigzagging across the US
and stopping at designated airports to pick them up and deliver them to
Dallas, Texas. Please see the brief history of SBE below and check out their
website through the link.

As last year we will be going through security and setting up our flag line
directly at the gate, picture Id's will be required and do not bring items
such as pocket knives. Thursday's flight will be early morning and Monday's
will be in the late afternoon. We are there to see them off and welcome them
back as well as providing any assistance needed, such as with their
luggage.

Some of you have already contacted me, if anyone else can make it let either
Scott or me know.

Scott Smoke has arranged free parking for us in the Garage so bring in your
parking pass to get it validated. The garage is located just before you get
to the Terminal, when you enter please drive to the far end of the garage
(North) near the car rental area.

*A brief history of Snowball Express*

Snowball Express is the charity for the children of our fallen military
heroes. We started in 2006 with a simple idea: Provide hope and new memories
to the children of our fallen military heroes who died while on active duty
since September 11, 2001.

Memorials at a cemetery or listening to a long speech are not the kind of
memories a child wishes to endure again . Yet that is how we honor our
heroes...it is what adults do.

By attending Snowball Express a child can see that "service above self" is
honored by others and is a value they should subscribe to as they continue
to mature as adults. They also realize they can honor their fallen hero in
ways other than by being sad or at a somber place.
Snowball Express gives them a piece of their childhood back, allowing them
to have fun and that it's OK to laugh.

I will be getting out the exact times for staging for both dates but I would
like a idea of how many to expect (email or call me) so I can arrange the
parking with airport police.
