About the Mission:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor of the life and service of Earl W. Cook.  Mr. Cook proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1968 as an EM2 Mine Sweeping Electrician's Mate and Firefighter aboard several Navy ships: USS Robert A. Owens, USS Notable, USS Bluebird and USS Ability. Mr. Cook earned the Good Conduct Medal.

The Mandatory Rules for Covid-19 protection practices...these WILL be strictly enforced.

  • No handshaking, fist-bumping, hugs, cheek kissing or any other physical contact.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: PGR will stage at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood at 10:30 am prior to the 1100 calling hours. Upon completion of the calling hours we will escort the body to the Riverside Cemetery, Norwood, New York for burial with a Flag Line.
