ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders of New York have been requested to honor WWII Veteran George Dieffenbacher, Seaman First Class, with a flag line at his church services, an escort to his final resting place, and a flag line at his graveside service. George was drafted in 1945 and served in the United States Navy in a support role from his posting within the U.S. until his honorable discharge in 1946. He became a mechanical engineer and worked at General Electric in Utica for 35 years before retiring. He was honored at the Malta Leatherstocking Honor Flight on June 24, 2017, a PGRNY mission for regions 4 and 5.

Special Instructions:
Staging will be in the driveway beside the church. Please arrive on time as we will be forming a flag line at the church prior to the arrival of family and friends and the church service starting at 10:30. Following services we will salute with a dignified transfer and proceed to escort Mr. Dieffenbacher a short distance to the nearby Fairfield Cemetery. We will then form a flag line for the graveside ceremony.
