|About the Mission:||The family of Edward C. Housel has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his funeral services. Edward, 95, passed away on July 14, 2020.
Edward attended Blessed Sacrament School and Aquinas Institute prior to entering the service in July of 1943. He was a DUKW (Duck) amphibious vehicle driver and landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was commended by his commanding officer for skillful assistance rendered the Second Armored Division of the Ninth Army during the crossing of the Elbe River.
The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand in honor of the life and service of Edward C. Housel, proud US Army WWII Veteran and "Greatest Generation" hero.

|Special Information:||Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Funeral service scheduled from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Dignified transfer to follow church services. There will be no PGR participation at the cemetery due to COVID-19 restrictions.
All mandatory rules for COVID-19 protection as outlined above are to be strictly adhered to at all times.
