About the Mission:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to stand for and honor the life and service of Mr. Jon F. Remmel.  Jon, 70, passed on Sunday, June 21, 2020.

Born in Rochester, NY, Jon was a pilot and co-pilot from 1972 to 1976 in the U.S. Air force flying recon, cargo, and personnel. After his military service, Jon became a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Rochester.

The Mandatory Rules for Covid-19 protection practices...these WILL be strictly enforced.

  • No handshaking, fist-bumping, hugs, cheek kissing or any other physical contact.
  • Follow all Covid-19 protection practices as described on the CDC website.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: We will form a Flag Line at 9:30 AM for the arrival of family and friends.
The church service will start at 10:00 am and following an honorable transfer, proceed to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, section S45.
