Margaret Bandy
US Marine Corps - WWII Veteran
Tully, NY - 03/27/2021
Mission applies to the following Region(s): Region 2, Region 3
About the Mission:

In honor of Women's History Month in March, many Syracuse groups are coming together Saturday, March 27 in Tully to honor World War II Marine Corps veteran, Margaret "Peg" Bandy for her 100th birthday.  Peg was one of the first women to serve in the Marines and the very first woman to join the Marines Reserves in Syracuse. During World War II, she worked specifically in logistics supporting operations abroad.

The Syracuse Honor Flight has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to escort Margaret from Tully High School to the Tully Municipal Building on her 100th birthday. In addition to serving during WWII, Margaret was on flight #5 with Honor Flight.
