About the Mission:

The family of Petro Peter "Pat" Stark has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his funeral services.  Pat, 90, passed on June 19, 2020.

Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Pat's parents were the owners of Stark's Bakery. Pat delivered bread for his father while attending Syracuse Vocational High School.

Pat and his brothers were high school sports legends in Syracuse. Pat was a standout high school football, basketball, and baseball player. He scored 78 points in a high school basketball game in 1949, the third highest single-game total in New York State history.

He later served his country in the United States Army at Fort Dix from 1954 to 1956.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: PGR members will stand a flag line at the church prior to the 10:00 AM service.  After the church service and a dignified transfer, we will be escorting Mr. Stark and his loving family to White Haven Cemetery, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY 14534 for a flag line during interment services.

Weather is calling for a high of 88 degrees, with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Please be sure to dress appropriately and stay hydrated.
