|About the Mission:||The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of James A. Slocum of Hemlock, NY who passed away on 21 June 2020.
Mr. Slocum served almost 3 years of active duty in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1955-1958. Following Basic Training at Ft. Dix and Corps of Engineer training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mr. Slocum served with Headquarters & Service Company, 27th Engineer Battalion (Combat) at Ft. Campbell, KY. His MOS was 051.60-Intermediate Speed Radio Operator, and Mr. Slocum was Honorably Discharged from active duty on 13 June 1958, earning the Army Good Conduct Medal.

We will process across the road to the Hemlock Fairgrounds to stand a flag line during the Memorial Service for Mr. Slocum at 2:00 PM.
Followed by an escort to Union Cemetery, Big Tree Road, Livonia for interment with Military Honors.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
Please be prepared to comply with current social distancing and face-covering requirements.
