Lead Ride Captain, Joe Shiah
Sgt. Kevin W. White will be arriving at Chautauqua County/ Jamestown Airport on Wednesday May 11, 2011 at 1400 hrs (2:00 p.m.).
We will stage in the parking lot which is on Airport Dr. at 1300 hrs (1:00 p.m.). Pre mission brief will be at 1315 hours (1:15 p.m.). We will then escort with a LEO escort to the funeral home in Westfield NY.
Make sure you top off your tank in Jamestown, the ride from the airport to Westfield is 27 miles. Part of the ride will be on I-86 if your flag can't handle 55 mph then don't deploy it.
No viewing hours on Wednesday.
Buffalo area: If you would like to ride down together, a few of us are meeting at Panera Bread at Delaware and Sheridan in Kenmore at 1100 hours. We will be leaving aprox. 11:15. We will pull in the Angola rest stop on the I-90 to allow anybody that wants to meet there and join up for the ride to the airport. Be ready to go when we pull in.
Thursday, May 12
Thursday we will stand a flag line from 1400-1700 hrs (2:00 - 5:00 p.m.) and again from 1900-2100 hrs. (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.) at The First Baptist Church which is at 19 Union Street in Westfield.
Please park at the lot on the North side of St. Dominic RC church which is next door.
We will stage for pre mission brief at 1300 (1:00 p.m.) and 1800 (6:00 p.m.) hours.

Friday, May 13
The funeral service will be at the First Baptist Church, 19 Union Street, Westfield at 1100 hrs.
Staging in the parking lot of HSBC Bank, 70 East Main St. will start at 0930 hours.
Premission brief at 0945 hours.

I really need a lot of flag bearers because the family wishes us to seal off the cemetery and there are no gates.
This is a very close tight knit community let's show them all the honor and respect they deserve for their hometown hero Sgt. Kevin W. White.

DOD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Cpl. Kevin W. White, 22, of Westfield, N.Y., died May 2 in Kunar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
