Special Instructions:
The Flight is expected shortly after 12:00 pm with our Veterans coming thru the gate around 12:50 pm.
We need to be in the Terminal for Primary Briefing at 12:00 pm.
On Buell Rd about a 1/4 mile North from Brooks Ave. Monroe County may open up their lot to us, otherwise we may meet at the vacant lot next to Comprehensive Mold Management at 291 Buell RD. Please be prepared for that last minute update.
Briefing at 11:30, KSU at 11:50 sharp for our final staging and final Briefing in the terminal at 12:00 pm.
Bikes have free parking just prior to the old cell phone lot. Cages park in short term lot, Honor Flight will have passes for us.
Weather as of Thursday 10/19/17 for this Sunday, Sunny & 77 degrees.
I will have arm bands if anyone needs them at $10.00 each.
Captains: Please come prepared with sign up sheets.
After Honor Flight for those that are interested, it is not a Mission, we will escort Vernon Grady on his last motorcycle ride.
Vernon is a WWII Navy veteran. MOS: Signalman who directed ship traffic at Normandy. His ship delivered Army troops that were assigned to Utah Beach.
Vernon had expressed a last wish to ride in a motorcycle-sidecar. For the time he was in St Ann's, Vernon was confined to his bed..24/7.
Vernon's guardian has asked if we could take Vernon on a short 'sidecar' ride before his ashes are transported to South Carolina to be united with his wife's grave site.
Thank you all for what you do!
