ABOUT THE MISSION:
We have been requested to stand in Honor of the Korean War Service of Ronald E. Schenk of Randolph, NY, who passed away on September 1st. Mr. Schenk served in the U.S. Navy for over 3 years from 1952-1956, including 2-1/2 years of Sea Service. Mr. Schenk proudly served aboard the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) as a EMP (Electrician's Mate-Power & Light). Mr. Schenk was Honorably Discharged on 21 February 1956 with the rating of EMP3 (Petty Officer 3rd Class), and was awarded the following: National Defense Service Medal; Navy Occupation Service Medal w/European Clasp; Korean Service Medal; United Nations Service Medal-Korea; Navy Battle Efficiency Ribbon.
