ABOUT THE MISSION:
We have a short notice Request to Honor the Military Service of Robert Gordon Barber of East Aurora. Mr. Barber passed away on March 23, 2006. His wife recently passed away, and he will now be buried with her in the casket.
Korean War Veteran Robert Barber served in the US Air Force for almost 4 years, from 1949-1953. His Air Force Specialty Code was 36230-Central Office Equipment Specialist, and he was attached to the 6400th Warehouse Squadron in Korea for 2 years. Honorably Discharged on 5 October 1953 with the rank of Airman 2nd Class, Mr. Barber was awarded: Air Force Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Korean Service Medal; and United Nations Service Medal (Korea.)
