ABOUT THE MISSION:
We have been requested to stand in Honor of another WWII Hero. Edward F. Sarafin, Sr. passed away on August 21st. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1944-1945, including 5-1/2 months in the European Theater as a Rifleman with Company E, 137th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division. Mr. Sarafin saw action during the Ardennes Campaign, and was wounded in action on 9 January 1945, resulting in being 100% Disabled for the rest of his life. Mr. Sarafin was Honorably Discharged on 12 September 1945 with the rank of Private, and was awarded a Purple Heart Medal; American Campaign Medal; European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal; WWII Victory Medal.
