About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Duane R. Brayley of Sanborn, NY, who passed away unexpectedly on 6 November 2020.

Mr. Brayley served 3 years on active duty in the US Army from 1975 - 1978, including 6 months of foreign duty in Germany. With an MOS of 11C10-Indirect Fire Infantryman, he was attached to 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 2nd Armored Division. Mr. Brayley was honorably discharged on 5 May 1978 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and he earned the Army Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Brayley was all about his H-D motorcycles, and he specifically made it clear to his daughter that he would be honored to have the PGR involved.  Also, be advised that the Brayley family contains several proud veterans.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Flag Line for arrival of family and friends. Visitation from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Funeral Service at the funeral home at 2:00 PM, followed by dignified transfer and escort to Elmlawn Cemetery for Burial with military honors.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
