|About the Mission:||The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in Honor of the life and service of WW-II Veteran Clair E. Roesch of Akron, who passed away on 13 November 2020 at the age of 102.
Mr. Roesch served 3 years, 3 months on active duty in the Army Air Force from 1942-1946, including 5 months in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations. His MOS was 686-Airplane Instrument Mechanic, and he was attached to the 2113th Army Air Force Base Unit. Mr. Roesch was Honorably Discharged on 8 February 1946 with the rank of Sergeant (E-5), and he earned the following awards: Army Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW-II Victory Medal, AAF Technician Badge, and Pistol Marksman Badge.
