About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Captain Thomas J. McGinley of Clarence, NY, who passed away on 26 May 2022.

Captain McGinley served for 3 years on active duty in the US Army from 1963-1966, with an Army MOS of 67G20-Multi Engine Airplane Mechanic. His service included 12 months of foreign duty in Korea. His final duty station was with the 3rd Aviation Flight Detachment, Ft. McPherson, Georgia. Captain McGinley was honorably discharged from active duty on 2 September 1966 with the rank of Specialist 5th Class (E-5), and he earned the National Defense Service Medal and M-1 Rifle Marksmanship Badge.

Captain McGinley was a member of the Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information: PGR will stand with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and guests.  The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.  Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to St. Mary's Cemetery, 1 St Mary's Hill, Lancaster, NY 14086 for interment with military honors.  Click here for map

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
