ABOUT THE MISSION:
We have been requested to stand in Honor of the Military and First Responder Service of Bernard E. Ziemba, who passed away on June 2nd. Mr. Ziemba served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1952, including 13 months in Korea. He was Honorably Discharged on 29 February 1952 with the rank of Sergeant. For his Service to our Nation Sgt. Ziemba was awarded: National Defense Service Medal; Korean Service Medal w/Bronze Campain Star; United Nations Service Medal-Korea. Mr. Ziemba went on to serve a career with the Buffalo Fire Department, retiring as a Lieutenant.
