About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in Honor of the life and service of William J. Renz, Sr., who passed away on 12 March 2020.

Mr. Renz sneaked into the US Marine Corps at the age of 16 in December, 1946. When his age was discovered, he was Honorably Discharged in February 1947 with the rank of Private. Mr. Renz later enlisted in the US Air Force in July 1949, and served active duty for 3-1/2 years, including time in Korea. His Air Force Specialty was 60350-Senior Vehicle Operator. Mr. Renz was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Airman 2nd Class, and for his service to our Nation he earned the following: WW-II Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal-Korea, and Carbine Marksman Badge.
