About the Mission:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in Honor of the life and service of Stanley R. Kosinski of West Seneca, who passed away on 9 July 2020.

Mr. Kosinski served 3 years, 4 months active duty in the US Navy from 1952-1956, with a rating of Quartermaster. He served aboard the Destroyer USS HYMAN (DD-732) for over 2-1/2 years, and was Honorably Discharged on 6 March 1956. Mr Kosinski earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal (Europe). Mr. Kosinski was a retired Buffalo Police Officer with 33 years of service and was a lifetime member of the Leonard Post VFW Post No.6251.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Flag Line for arrival of family for prayer service.
Followed by dignified transfer and escort to Fourteen Holy Helpers RC Church, corner of Union Road & Indian Church Road, West Seneca.
Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM.
Followed by escort to St. Matthew's Cemetery for interment with Military Honors.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Navy flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
Please be prepared to abide by current social distancing and face covering requirements.
