Mission applies to the following Region(s): Region 1, Region 2
About the Mission:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of one of Livingston County's most beloved promoters of Patriotism and Military Veterans. Stanley J. Lubanski, Jr. of Leicester passed away on 18 July 2020.

Mr. Lubanski served 3 years in the NY Army National Guard before serving 2 years active duty in the US Army from 1957-1959. He was stationed in Germany for over 16 months with Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment. Mr. Lubanski was Honorably Discharged on 14 July 1959 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and he earned the Army Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Lubanski served in the Leicester, NY Fire Department for 50 years, and was a member of VFW Posts in Geneseo and York. Of interest to PGRNY members, Stanley Lubanski, Jr. was integral in ensuring the Village of Leicester had flags and residents ready to stand in honor as our Veteran Recovery Program escorts passed through the village. Mr. Lubanski was also very proud to be involved in the new Livingston County Veterans Monument project, including the fabrication of metal Poppies.
