About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in Honor of the life and service of Ross T. Barbarino of Williamsville, who passed away on 15 July 2020.

Mr. Barbarino served almost 3 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1970, with an Air Force Specialty of 43251-Reciprocating Engine Mechanic. He served 12 months at Nha Trang Air Base in South Vietnam, and also was attached to the 99th Field Maintenance Squadron (FMS) at Westover Air Force Base, Massachusetts. Mr. Barbarino was Honorably Discharged on 7 April 1970 with the rank of Sergeant (E-4), and earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.

Funeral Service at the F.H. at 10:00 AM.
Followed by dignified transfer and escort to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3063 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga. N.Y. 14225, for Burial with Military Honors.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or U.S. Air Force flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
IMPORTANT: Current Erie County and PGRNY social distancing and face-covering requirements WILL BE ENFORCED! If you are not willing to abide by these rules, we respectfully ask that you do not participate.
