About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Ronald W. Rogers of Hamburg, NY who passed away 4 June 2021.

Mr. Rogers served 2 years on active duty in the US Army from 1964-1966, with an MOS of 31M20-Relay & Carrier Attendant. He served 7 months in Vietnam, attached to the 6th Battalion, 71st Air Defense Artillery Regiment. Mr. Rogers was honorably discharged from active duty on 6 April 1966 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Rifle Marksman Badge.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

  • While in any outdoor setting, fully vaccinated PGR members will no longer be required to wear masks but are asked to act responsibly and respect your fellow members decision on this issue. For the protection of others, non-vaccinated members are asked to please wear a mask.
  • For the immediate future, all PGR members will continue to wear masks and social distance while indoors during a mission.
  • Masks will be worn at any other location where organizers, requestors or the Lead Ride Captain has determined that this be done.
  • Going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please respect the LRC’s decision on these matters.

Special Information: PGR will provide a flag line for arrival of family and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 PM -1:00 PM.
A funeral service at the funeral home is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.
Following a dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to Lakeside Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 4810 Camp Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075 for interment with Military Honors.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather.
