ABOUT THE MISSION:
We have been requested to stand in Honor of the World War II Service of Ronald Plain, Sr. of Livonia, who passed away on August 28th at the age of 90. Mr. Plain served in the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps from 1945-1946, and was stationed in the Western Pacific Theater of Operations (WPTO) for 13 months with the 799th Engineer Forestry Company as an Automotive Repairman. Mr. Plain was Honorably Discharged on 14 December 1946 with the rank of Private First Class, and was awarded: Army Good Conduct Medal; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal; WWII Victory Medal; Philippines Independence Ribbon.
