About the Mission: The family has requested our presence at the burial ceremony of their loved one. Petty Officer 2nd Class Roger M. Burkhart proudly served during Vietnam '62 -'66 in the US Navy. Rodger was a former chaplain at The American Legion Post 468. He belonged to many volunteer organizations and was a proud patriot. Roger also went to DC with Honor Flight and the family has requested that any donations be sent to Honor Flight as well as the Veterans Outreach Center.

  • ** ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade face-mask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: This is a burial only, no church or funeral home participation. Navy Honor Guard and Legion Honor Guard will be in attendance.
If you have a Navy flag and wish to hold during service please bring along.
