About the Mission:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Robert R. Berebko of Depew, NY, who passed away on 31 December 2020.

Mr. Berebko served 4 years on active duty in the US Air Force from 1969-1973, including 10 months duty in South Vietnam. His Air Force Specialty was 63150-Fuel Specialist and he was attached to the 42nd Supply Squadron, Strategic Air Command. Mr. Berebko was Honorably Discharged on 16 November 1973 with the rank of Sergeant (E-4) and he earned the following awards: Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, RVN Campaign Medal, and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. Mr. Berebko was a member of the Pvt. Leonard Post Jr. VFW Post 6251 and the Disabled American Veterans Post 203.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information:

PGR will provide a flag line for arrival of family and friends.
Funeral Service is scheduled for 1:00 PM. Military Honors will be rendered at the church at the end of the funeral service.

LRC Don Becker has been informed that PGR WILL NOT be allowed to enter the cemetery in Lancaster due to COVID restrictions.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USAF flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
