About the Mission:

The family has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand for the life and service of Richard A Eygabroat.

Richard A Eygabroat proudly served our country in US Navy aboard the USS Samuel Gompers and was a member of the UDT Diving Program. Richard enlisted on January 19, 1967 and received an honorable discharge on January 18, 1973.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

  • While in any outdoor setting, fully vaccinated PGR members will no longer be required to wear masks but are asked to act responsibly and respect your fellow members decision on this issue. For the protection of others, non-vaccinated members are asked to please wear a mask.
  • For the immediate future, all PGR members will continue to wear masks and social distance while indoors during a mission.
  • Masks will be worn at any other location where organizers, requestors or the Lead Ride Captain has determined that this be done.
  • Going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please respect the LRC’s decision on these matters.

Special Information:

Richard Arthur Eygabroat passed on March 12, 2021 and has been interred at Bath National Cemetery.

PGR will stage at the flag pole area at the top of cemetery hill, proceed down to the interment shelter and form a flag line for arrival of family and friends. We will stand the flag line during the funeral service and military honors for this American Hero. Please bring an American flag or US Navy flag to fly during the service.
