|About the Mission:||The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Michael E. Mancini, Sr. of Depew, NY, who passed away on 16 May 2020.
Mr. Mancini served 2 years on active duty with the US Army from 1953-1955, including 18 months of foreign service in Germany. His MOS was 1641-Wire Chief, Field and he was attached to Battery B, 597th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, 36th Field Artillery Group in Hanau, Germany. Mr. Mancini was Honorably Discharged from active duty on 12 April 1955 with the rank of Corporal, and he earned the following awards: Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; and Army of Occupation Medal-Germany.
