About the Mission:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand for the life and service of Leon W. Gibson.  Leon, 60, passed on December 12th, 2021, and we stood for him during calling hours on December 20th.

Born in Potsdam, NY, Leon was a US Army Veteran.  Entering the service in March, 1979, he served as a Petroleum Supply Specialist.  He served honorably and was discharged during December of 1982 at the rank of Specialist 4th Class. Through his participation with Compeer CORPS activities with other veterans, he developed a love for painting and crafting.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:
Updated 25 May 2021
  • While in any outdoor setting, fully vaccinated PGR members will no longer be required to wear masks but are asked to act responsibly and respect your fellow members decision on this issue. For the protection of others, non-vaccinated members are asked to please wear a mask.
  • For the immediate future, all PGR members will continue to wear masks and social distance while indoors during a mission.
  • Masks will be worn at any other location where organizers, requestors or the Lead Ride Captain has determined that this be done.
  • Going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please respect the LRC’s decision on these matters.

Special Information: We will gather just inside the Lake Ave. Gate and proceed to grave site for family's arrival @ approximately 10:45 am. Upon completion of the mission, those wishing to do so may join in the Gary Beikirch mission at White Haven Cemetery.  Best guess is that the procession will arrive at the cemetery around 12:00 Noon.
Is there a Second Stage to this Mission? no
