About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in Honor of the life and service of Kevin L. Sunderlin of Holland, NY who passed away on 3 July 2020.

Mr. Sunderlin served over 7 years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1983-1989, with a MOS of 1833-Assault Amphibian Crewman. He went through multiple training schools throughout his career and served 14 months in sea service and foreign service, including duty in Okinawa. Mr. Sunderlin was Honorably Discharged on 20 December 1989 with the rank of Sergeant (E-5), and he earned the following: USMC Good Conduct Medal (2 awards); Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Meritorious Mast; Expert Rifle Badge (3 awards); Marksman Pistol Badge.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Flag line for the arrival of family and friends.
Visitation from 12:00-1:00 PM
Funeral service at 1:00 PM with Military Honors.
There is no escort with this Mission.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USMC flag, and dress for the weather.
Please abide by current social distancing and face-covering requirements.
With a very busy Saturday in Region-1, please do your best to support one or more of our Missions, including this one in Honor of Marine Veteran Kevin L. Sunderlin, and in support of his loving and grieving family.
