|About the Mission:||The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in Honor of the life and service of Kenneth R. Wilkes of East Aurora, who passed away on 27 January 2020.
Mr. Wilkes served 2 years active duty in the US Army Signal Corps from 1951-1953. He was attached to the 226th Signal Service Company, and served 18 months in Korea. Mr. Wilkes was Honorably Discharged from active duty on 3 April 1953 with the rank of Private First Class, and he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, and United Nations Service Medal-Korea.
