About the Mission:

The family of Kenneth "Ken" C. Alexander has requested PGRNY participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Alexander passed away on 12 September 2022 at the young age of 52.

Mr. Alexander served our nation for 14 months on active duty from 1989-1991, before his service was cut short by a cancer diagnosis. His Army MOS was 94B10-Food Service Specialist, and he served in Texas before being transferred to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he was honorably discharged on 8 January 1991with the rank of Private First Class (E-3.) Following his treatments for cancer, Mr. Alexander served for 2 years in the US Army Reserve 98th Infantry Division.  He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Cold War Service Medal.

Mr. Alexander was a member of the Livonia Volunteer Fire Department, and the Harrison-Lee Post 283 American Legion in Livonia Center.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will standby with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and for the dignified transfer.  KSU at 10:15 a.m. for the escort to Greenmount Cemetery, 10071 Greenmount Ave, Dansville, NY 14437 for interment with Military Honors.  Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached for the escort.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to participate in the escort, please consider staging directly at the cemetery by 10:30 AM and form a flag line for arrival of the cortege.
