About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of James Ochs, a Vietnam War Era veteran who passed July 7th, 2020. Jim served our country during the Vietnam War from Korea where he was stationed. Jim was a past Commander at the Honeoye Hemlock Legion Post 1278. Mr. Ochs also supported and participated in many veteran-related affairs.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

The Mandatory Rules for Covid-19 protection practices...these WILL be strictly enforced.

  • Stay a minimum of 6 feet apart from each other at all times.
  • No handshaking, fist-bumping, hugs, cheek kissing or any other physical contact.
  • Follow all Covid-19 protection practices as described on the CDC website.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: A flag line will be formed at the funeral home for the arrival of family and friends arriving for calling hours and a memorial service at 18:00 hours. The weather is expected to be near 80 degrees. This is  short notice but if possible try to help honor Mr. Ochs service to our country and comfort his family.
