About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Harold "Skip" C. Schilling, Jr. of Alden, NY, who passed away on 17 January 2021.

Mr. Schilling served on active duty in the US Army from 1951-1952, including 5 months service in South Korea. His MOS was 2187-Repeaterman, and he was attached to the 51st Signal Battalion (Corps.) Mr. Schilling was honorably discharged on 19 April 1952 with the rank of Private (E-2), and he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze Campaign Star, United Nations Service Medal-Korea, and Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. Mr. Schilling served and retired as a Corrections Officer for 17 years at the Erie County Corrections Facility.
