About the Mission:

The PGR has been honored by the family of George R. Miles, Sr., by being requested to stand a flag line and attend Mr. Miles's funeral service and then to escort him to Western New York National Cemetery where he will be buried with full military honors.

This patriot served a total of 33 yrs in the Army with 27 of those years in the National Guard, retiring at the rank of Sergeant First Class. George guarded the capitol, was assigned to Honor Guard for President Truman as well as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. George was a participant with Honor Flight and was a true patriot.   • ** ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade face-mask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information:

The PGR will stand an honorable flag line for the arrival and exit of mourners at the funeral service. We will then provide an escort to the Western New York National Cemetery where interment with military honors will be conducted.

The weather looks favorable and we will use both cages and motorcycles whichever you are comfortable doing. Approximate distance from the funeral home to the cemetery is 50 miles.  The cemetery escort is is optional.  Participate only if you are able.

Please do what you can to honor this proud American veteran and to comfort his grieving family and friends.
