About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of George M. Mayer of Ransomville, NY who passed away on 15 November 2021.

Mr. Mayer served a total of 8 years in the US Army Reserve and US Army from 1955-1963, including 9 months of active duty from 1961-1962. His MOS was 212.10-Fire Control Crewman, and he was attached to Company C, 969th Engineer Battalion (Construction), US Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Mayer was honorably discharged from active duty on 2 July 1962, and from reserve duty on 4 June 1963 with the rank of Specialist 5th Class (E-5.)

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

  • While in any outdoor setting, fully vaccinated PGR members will no longer be required to wear masks but are asked to act responsibly and respect your fellow members decision on this issue. For the protection of others, non-vaccinated members are asked to please wear a mask.
  • For the immediate future, all PGR members will continue to wear masks and social distance while indoors during a mission.
  • Masks will be worn at any other location where organizers, requestors or the Lead Ride Captain has determined that this be done.
  • Going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please respect the LRC’s decision on these matters.

Special Information: PGR will stand with a respectful flag line for arrival of family and friends.
The funeral service is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will escort to North Ridge Cemetery, 4210 Church Rd, Lockport, NY 14094 for burial with Military Honors.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
