|About the Mission:||The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the extraordinary life and service of WWII Veteran George B. Parrish, Jr. of Alexander, NY, who passed away on 20 November 2021.
Mr. Parrish very proudly served 3 years, 5 months of active duty in the US Marine Corps from 1942-1945, including 23 months of foreign duty in the Pacific Theater of Operations. His primary MOS was 763-Search Light Operator, with a secondary MOS of 607-Mortar Gunner. Mr. Parrish's duty stations included Philadelphia, New Zealand, the Marshall Islands and Guam, and he was honorably discharged from active duty on 15 December 1945 with the rank of Corporal (E-3.) Mr. Parrish earned the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW-II Victory Medal, and Weapons Qualification Badges for Rifle, Hand Grenade and Bayonet.

NOTE: The daughter of Mr. Parrish is a proud retired US Air Force Veteran, and her husband is a 12-year Navy/Army National Guard Vietnam Veteran. Also, Mr. Parrish is the Uncle & "Second Father" of Arizona PGR State Captain Bill Wooster.

|Special Information:||PGR will stage with a respectful flag line for arrival of family and friends. The funeral service is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM, followed by Military Honors. There is no escort or cemetery involved in this Mission.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USMC flag, and dress for the weather.
