Honor Mission

Francis "Frank" S. Christen, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

We have been requested to stand in Honor of the Military and 1st Responder Service of Francis "Frank" Christen, who passed away on May 12th. Mr. Christen served in U.S. Army Active Duty from 1956-1958, and U.S. Army Reserves from 1958-1960. His Active Duty included 16 months service in Korea with Company B, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, and his MOS was 111.10, Light Weapons Infantryman. Mr. Christen's Army Reserve duty was with Headquarters Company, 27th Armored Division in Buffalo. Mr. Christen was Honorably Discharged on 19 February 1960 with the rank of Sergeant (E-5.) For his Service to our nation, Sgt. Christen was awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Expert Marksmanship Badge-Pistol, and Army Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge-Carbine.
Mr. Christen joined the Buffalo Fire Department in December, 1963 and retired in 1984 with over 20 years of Service. Mr. Christen started and was Past Commander of AMVETS Post 68, was Past Captain of Brooks Hose Company Rescue Squad, and was EMT Certified.

Stage at Main Office at 12:00 Noon.
Proceed to Grave Site at 12:15 to await family for 1:00 P.M. Service.
Mr. Christen will be interred with his late wife, Marion.
Please arrive on time with a clean 3x5 American Flag or US Army flag, and dress for the weather.
This is a relatively short Mission, please do whatever you're able to ensure we have a good PGRNY presence in Honor of the Military and 1st Responder Service of Mr. Christen, and in support of his loving family.

Flags Will NOT Be Provided, Please Bring Your Own.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
