|About the Mission:||The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to participate in escorting US Air Force/Air National Guard Master Sergeant Christopher P. Blakowski to his final resting place at the WNY National Cemetery. MSgt. Blakoski - serving on active duty with the 107th Air National Guard - passed away on 3 February 2019 at the age of 35 following a battle with an unexpected illness.
MSgt. Blakoski was a 2001 Graduate of Iroquois High School in Elma, NY. He served from 2001-2007 on active duty in the US Air Force at Shaw AFB as an F-16 Crew Chief, Call Sign “SKI”, assigned to the elite Viper Demonstration Team. During that time he deployed to Prince Sultan AFB, Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and to Tallil AFB, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
From 2007-2019 Christopher served with the NY Air National Guard, Niagara Falls AFB, NY. He was a C-130 Crew Chief from 2007-2014, and a Pavement and Construction Equipment Supervisor from 2014-2019. He deployed to Kuwait in 2013 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, to Albania in 2016 providing Civil Engineering Support to the local community, and to New London, NC in 2015, Los Alamitos, CA in 2017, and Romney WV in 2018 providing Civil Engineering Support to local communities.
MSgt. Blakoski earned numerous awards, including: AF Commendation Medal, AF Achievement Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award (2), AF Organizational Excellence Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal (4 devices), National Defense Service Medal (1 device), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, AF Expeditionary Service Ribbon (Gold Border, 2 devices), AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon (2 devices), Armed Forces Reserve Medal (M device), Florida Governor's Meritorious Unit Citation, and other awards.

PGR will present a flag line for arrival of family, expected at 12:30 PM.
KSU at approximately 12:45 PM for the 30-mile escort.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USAF flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
NOTE: A large presence of USAF personnel and Fire Department personnel/equipment is expected.
