Honor Mission

David A. Baker

Emergency Medical Technician

Randolph, New York - 11-16-18



The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the military and emergency medical service of David Allen Baker of Jamestown, who passed away on 9 November 2018 at the much too young age of 33.

Mr. baker served 9 years in the NY Army National Guard as a Combat Medic, including a 9-month tour in Afghanistan in 2008 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant (E-5), and earned the following awards: Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/Campaign Star; National Defense Service Medal; Combat Medical Badge; Combat Action Badge; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/"M" Device; NATO Medal.

Mr. Baker also served 14 years as a Flight Medic (Badge 207) with Star Flight, and was a member of several fire departments, including Leon Volunteer Fire Dept. as Captain of the EMT's, as well as the Falconer and Celoron Fire Departments.

Flag Line for arrival of family and friends. Funeral service at the Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M., followed by dignified transfer and escort to Treat Memorial Cemetery in Leon.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American Flag or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.

David Allen Baker contributed a major portion of his young life in serving our Nation and the Community in many ways. Please do whatever you're able to spend a couple hours standing in honor of him, and in support of his very loving family.
