Honor Mission

Richard A. Bleau Jr.

US Army - Vietnam Veteran

Multi-City, New York - 08-13-18


The family of Mr. Richard A. Bleau Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Richard, 69, passed on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Born in Troy, NY, Richard was a 1967 graduate of Troy High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army, and was trained as a Rough Terrain Forklift and Loader Operator (MOS 62M20). He served a one year tour in Vietnam and, for his service was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, two Overseas Service Bars and qualified as Expert with the M16 rifle. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 5th Class (E-5)SP5 on May 26, 1971.

After the war, Richard was employed as a heavy equipment operator with the Powell & Minnock Brick Works in Ravena prior to his retirement in 2004.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand for and render dignity, honor and respect for the life of Mr. Richrd a. Bleau Jr., United States Army , Vietnam Veteran.

Interment with full military honors scheduled for 12:30 p.m. For those staging directly at the cemetery, please be aware of any services in progress. If services are taking place, please do not proceed past the Solomon Memorial until such time as they are completed.
