Kenneth R. Monger, Veteran

We have been requested to stand in Honor of the Korean War Service of Kenneth R. Monger of West Seneca, who passed away on March 11th. Mr. Monger served Active Duty in the US Navy for 4-1/2 years from 1952-1956. With a rating of MEW2 (Metalsmith, Welder 2nd Class), Mr. Monger served 40 Months aboard the Navy Battleship USS Missouri (BB-63), including service in the Korean War. Mr. Monger was Honorably Discharged on 10 January 1956 as a Petty Officer 2nd Class and was awarded the following: Navy Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Korean Service Medal w/2 Campaign Stars; European Occupation Medal; China Service Medal; United Nations Service Medal.
